Meet the team - Our Operations Assistant, Beth

Meet the Team

We are pleased to introduce you to Beth, our Operations Assistant. We have conducted an exclusive interview with her, which sheds light on her role within ChamberCustoms, her hobbies outside of work, and the interesting superpower she dreams of having.

Tell us a bit about yourself

Hi, I’m Beth! I’m from Manchester but have spent all my adult life around Yorkshire. I currently live in a little village just outside of Hull with my partner, 3 kids and our dog, Bear.

I come from a background in Media Buying & Marketing but started my journey into Customs just prior to Brexit and haven’t looked back!

What do you do at ChamberCustoms?

I’ve been working with the Operations team at ChamberCustoms for almost 10 months now. A typical day is split between working on the helpdesk, supporting the network and answering enquiries and queries from potential customers through our website.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

The variety! There is always a new question you haven’t been asked but also the ever-changing world of The weird and wonderful questions and enquiries we get in. No day is ever the same and there is always a new situation or query to test our knowledge.

What advice would you give a business which is considering exporting overseas?

Don’t just go with the first clearance agent that you find. Do your research, make sure you go with a reputable company (like ChamberCustoms 😉) and if you’re unsure about something, then ask!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Getting over to Manchester whenever I have a chance to see my parents, brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews!

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

The ability to change the weather, I don’t do well in the rain!

Bear!
